2023 March Update

During the first two weeks of learning Mandarin, I actually stayed away from Pimsleur and trying to produce output. Instead, I’ve focused on getting comprehensible input. I’ve particularly enjoyed the first 9 videos of the playlist below, which is a collection of stories for beginners. The creator does a great job of using pictures and known situations to facilitate understanding.

I also set up a Pinyin keyboard on my laptop and desktops using fcitx5.
